*6:It’s always been said that players who draw the golf ball have a definitive advantage at Augusta National, but Nicklaus says that a fade is the more important shot shape, with the draw only being required on a few tee shots.
*7:“Augusta has shots that you need to play right to left, but most shots are fades,” Nicklaus added. “You look at two, three, five, right through the golf course, you’ve got a couple of right to lefts there, six is a little right to left and one is a little right to left.
*8:“But for the most part coming into the greens a fade will do you fine, but off the tee you’ve got to occasionally hit it right to left.”
*9:Jack may know a thing or two about how to contend at Augusta. The Golden Bear has six green jackets, which is the most of any player in the history of golf.
