Wells Fargoで勝ったジェイムズ・ハーンのドライバーが気になると書いたところですが，ALDILAからのリリースはあいかわらず素っ気ないです。

The winner of the Wells Fargo Championship used Aldila’s new Rogue MAX shaft in his driver. Aldila also had more driver shafts in play during the Wells Fargo Championship than any other manufacturer. To date, players using Aldila shafts have won 11 times during the 2016 Tour season. Since the 2014 Tour season, players using the Aldila Rogue have won 25 times, including 2 Majors and 2 FedEx Cup Championships. With results like these, there’s no surprise the Aldila Rogue continues to be the most popular driver shaft in play since its introduction on Tour.

つまりは，ジェイムズ・ハーンがドライバーに挿してたシャフトはALDILAの新作 Rogue MAX で，社のエンジニアリング＆プロダクト開発部門VPの John Oldenburg いわく，「Rogue MAX は最先端の航空機用素材とかっちょいいデザインでもって，比類なきパフォーマンスと安定性を提供するわよ」だそうです。
シャフトはいいのを作るALDILAですが，PRは上手とは言えないですねぇ。

たぶんポイントは，
- M-AXは「Multi-Axial」の略。（要するに，カーボンファイバーの軸が複数ということですか）
- 弾道の高さは低から中 「“flat-tow” woven」製法とやらのおかげで，安定性とエネルギーの伝達に優れる
- ファイバーの硬度は通常の30パーセント増
- シャフトの軸に対してファイバーの角度は0度と90度の複数軸構造（このへんもっと分かるようになりたい），それでもって，しなったときも形状維持
- 通常の Rogue と M-AX との最大の違いは，Rogue がカウンターバランス構造であり，よりテーパードしていることでスムーズなフィーリングを生んでいるのに対し，M-AX はバット部分が大きくてパラレルであり，「しっかりしていてシャープ」なフィーリングであること
- M-AX は今年後半に販売開始で，同時に高弾道モデルの M-AX も出る
- 値段は$449
見た目がかっこいいから欲しいけど，たぶん今の Aldila Tour blue を使い続けた方がいいだろうな…。
